C4C Collect and Connect Gala
Thank you for attending our first annual Collect and Connect Gala. We are so grateful for your love and commitment to our mission, and the overwhelming joy and passion you bring to this important work. Because of your generosity, we raised over $10,000.
And, it keeps getting better.
For the next month, we have received a generous commitment from a donor who has pledged to match all donations, up to a total of $5,000. This means that every dollar you contribute will be effectively doubled, allowing us to amplify our efforts and make an even greater difference in the lives of those we serve.
We are so very close to our goal of funding the very needed box truck. Once acquired, this truck will be available to our mutual aid partners help our new neighbors furnish apartments and move needed supplies around Chicagoland.

Community for Communities (C4C) is a powerful team of volunteers dedicated to supporting underserved communities by partnering with other community groups to complement and amplify their impact. By providing life necessities and personal guidance as part of refugee resettlement, we are able to promote dignity, health and self sufficiency.
Refugee and asylum seeking families who have recently moved to permanent housing need help furnishing their new apartments. To support them while they get on their feet, C4C is establishing a “Collect & Connect” furniture delivery service.
Transportation of large furniture donations can be expensive, labor intensive and logistically complex with rapid response times required.
Our Collect & Connect service will take large furniture items from our wonderful donors for a small fee and connect them to the refugees who need them at no cost to the family.
When the Collect & Connect program is up and running, it will provide a delivery truck & driver and labor resource to move furniture around the city.
Pick up donation fees from our donors will only cover a small portion of the ongoing program running costs, so our fundraising campaign is now live as we raise money to fund all elements of the service.
Money raised through our Collect & Connect campaign will cover costs associated with buying a truck, hiring drivers and movers.

Our organization, C4C (Community 4 Communities) is planning a fundraising Gala on Mar 22nd. We are searching for community partners to sponsor this event.
Our goal is to raise money to purchase a delivery truck to provide donated furnishings and home goods to newly housed refugees in the Chicago area. By purchasing a truck, we will no longer need to depend on our volunteers and their personal vehicles for delivering these Items.
